Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is an essential, water-soluble vitamin that plays a key role in energy and vitality – both in everyday life and in the long term. It supports the normal formation of red blood cells¹⁰, which are essential for oxygen transport in the body, and contributes to the function of a healthy nervous system². This promotes mental resilience and lays the foundation for an active life. Vitamin B12 is also involved in energy metabolism⁶, which helps reduce tiredness and fatigue⁹. It also makes an important contribution to psychological function³ and the maintenance of a healthy immune system¹. Through its role in homocysteine metabolism, vitamin B12 supports cardiovascular health¹¹ and contributes to a vital and balanced life in the long term.

In the context of healthy aging and longevity, vitamin B12 is increasingly coming into focus because it plays a central role in epigenetic processes. Epigenetics describes how environmental factors and lifestyle influence gene activity without altering the DNA sequence—that is, whether genes are "switched on" or "switched off." With age, dysregulated patterns of this switching on and off become increasingly common, which is considered one of the early molecular hallmarks of aging. (López-Otín et al., 2023)

Vitamin B12 – along with other methyl group donors – is directly involved in methylation reactions that are important for one-carbon metabolism, orderly DNA methylation, and normal cell division. (Mandaviya et al., 2019; Zeisel, 2017)

DNA methylation acts like cellular switches and is closely linked to cell division and DNA integrity. By supporting these processes and contributing to normal cell division, vitamin B12 helps maintain the stability of the genome – a mechanism that is particularly important for slowing down cellular aging processes and preserving healthy cell functions in the long term.

Since vitamin B12 is found almost exclusively in animal products such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products, targeted supplementation can be beneficial for vegetarians and vegans. In our All in One Complex, Vitamin B12 is used in the form of bioactive methylcobalamin.

OPC (Oligomeric proanthocyanidins) are secondary plant compounds from the flavonoid group, naturally occurring in grape seeds and pine bark. They belong to the polyphenols, which are known for their strong antioxidant effects. In nature, they act as a protective system for plants, safeguarding them from oxidative stress caused by external influences such as UV radiation or pollutants – secondary plant compounds that serve as natural defenses against oxidative stress. (García-Pérez et al., 2025). We want to make targeted use of these protective mechanisms in our product.

Coenzyme Q10 is a natural substance found in almost all cells of your body – especially in organs with high energy demands, such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. In the mitochondria, the powerhouses of your cells, it plays a central role in the production of ATP, your body's most important energy source. Coenzyme Q10 is also part of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, where it acts as an electron carrier between various enzyme complexes.

Your body can produce coenzyme Q10 itself, but it needs nutrients such as vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and lipids to do so. Since the body's own synthesis can vary with age and decrease with increasing age, coenzyme Q10 was included in the formulation as a functional component to supplement it with this physiologically relevant building block.

Through its role in mitochondrial energy production, coenzyme Q10 indirectly contributes to maintaining normal cell function and thus also to preserving performance and vitality – especially in tissues with high energy demands and in active lifestyles. Additional intake through food or supplements can help ensure adequate supply and thus support the physiological processes associated with healthy aging.

Zeaxanthin is a secondary plant substance from the carotenoid group and is found in high concentrations in marigolds (Calendula), among other plants. In nature, this pigment has a protective function, shielding plants from harmful UV radiation and oxidative stress—a property that is also reflected in human biological systems. Its accumulation in the macula of the retina, where it filters certain short-wave light components and is integrated into membrane structures, has been particularly well studied.

At the cellular level Zeaxanthin the focus of studies investigating the interactions between nutrition and cell biology is on its influence on signaling cascades, enzyme activities, and metabolic pathways, which are closely linked to oxidative stress and the stability of cellular structures. As part of the group of secondary plant compounds, it fulfills a protective function against oxidative influences in nature.(García-Pérez et al., 2025)Furthermore, numerous human studies suggest that selected micronutrients can reduce oxidative stress in the body.(Dai et al., 2022).

In the context of longevity, Zeaxanthin increasingly, carotenoids are becoming the focus of research. Oxidative stress and chronic low-grade inflammation are considered key drivers of cellular aging: they promote the accumulation of DNA damage, impair telomere biology, and encourage cells to enter cellular senescence—a state in which cells no longer divide but continue to emit pro-inflammatory signals. Studies on carotenoids such as zeaxanthin suggest that these substances can modulate oxidative and inflammatory stress, thereby influencing processes associated with healthy cell function, delayed senescence, and the protection of sensitive tissues. Hormetic effects are also being discussed: mild stimuli that activate the body's own protective and repair mechanisms, thus promoting metabolic adaptability (Fiore et al., 2025). Additionally, carotenoids such as...Zeaxanthin in the literature linked to mechanisms that regulate inflammatory signaling pathways and thus can potentially contribute to protection against “inflammaging” – i.e., age-associated, chronic low-grade inflammatory processes.(Rudrapal et al., 2022).

In the context of healthy aging and longevity, the antioxidant effect of Vitamin E. A special role is played by the fact that cellular stress increases with age – particularly due to so-called free radicals. These are primarily produced in the mitochondria, for example when their function is impaired. (Murphy, 2008)

Vitamin E helps protect cell membranes from oxidative stress – a mechanism closely linked to maintaining genomic stability. Oxidative stress is considered a key factor in DNA damage and mutations that can accumulate over the years, accelerating aging and increasing the risk of degenerative diseases. By reducing this stress, vitamin E indirectly supports the maintenance of cellular integrity – a crucial foundation for long-term health and longevity.
